Camouflage
When the Morpho butterfly closes its wings, the underside is a dull brown with eye spots, providing excellent camouflage against predators. This dual coloration helps them blend into their surroundings when at rest and flash bright blue to startle and confuse predators when in flight.
Large Wingspan
